We believe that the Juice Bar business is closely linked to the food business. Under this premise we divulge and encourage the consumption of juices and smoothies as a healthy alternative to junk-food snacks.

Since 1999 and without interruption we have made our case widely known. We educate children and adults in schools, community centers and hospitals, in such a way that is both amusing and educational. Our lectures enable students with the art of creating and producing their own mixtures and they are also told to pass the knowledge on to their families

Council of the City and County of Honolulu Commending Pablo Gonzalez For his work with Island Youth

The betterment of our island community depends on individuals who are willing to donate their time and energies to worthy causes. Many of these generous individuals eschew the limelight, and instead gain satisfaction from enriching the lives of others.

Pablo Gonzalez is such a man. He's the owner of Lanikai Juice Company, a juice bar known for making smoothies made from fresh, farm-grown fruits and vegetables. His Kailua store serves up the tasty treats in a friendly, relaxed, local-style atmosphere. The juice bar was voted 1999 Best Juice Bar in Honolulu Weekly's Annual Best of Honolulu Survey, and in a head-to-head comparison of Honolulu's juice bars, the Honolulu Advertiser gave Lanikai Juice Company the top nod.

Pablo didn't see his juice bar simply as another business opportunity, but also as a reflection of his commitment to a healthy lifestyle, and he means to reach out to a community, especially our youth, he has come to love so much.

Using business as a tool, Pablo has chosen a creative and fun way to teach our youth about a healthy diet. He started with Windward schools, but he now receives requests to appear at the Shriner's Hospital, as well as schools throughout the island. Judging by the glowing reviews, students love Pablo's "cool" way of teaching.

Pablo Gonzalez is an inspiring example of an individual who has generously given back to the community.
